2004 FESTIVAL PROGRAMME
Every year in August there is an arts festival in the village with something for all ages, It has grown from strength and brings challenging and exciting arts events to North Tipperary, this year in its six day programme there are lots of performers and events events. These are just some of them.
- Tuesday 24th August.
7.00 pm Launch of Terryglass Arts Festival: All Welcome Village Hall, with a Teach a Bloc taster, the Shetland Dancers and special guests. - 8.00pm: Teach a Bloc
A Musical show where life size puppets and people show off their talents as musicians, singers and dancers. Village Hall €15. - 9.45pm: Irish night
Popular weekly Terryglass Irish Night in a celebration of Irish music song and dance with special guests The Shetland Dancers. Village hall.. - Wednesday 25th August.
8.30 An evening with Paul Durcan reading from his work.
Preceded by a 30 minute open mike session with local writers and musical interludes preformed by Birr singer/songwriter, Roesy. in association with the Irish Writers Centre. Adults. €5 Village Hall - Thursday 26th August
Children's morning workshops will run consecutively to allow parents attend bread making and Tai Chi Children can be booked in for all three and supervised in transition.

'Yu Ming is Anim Dom' and 'Meeting Che Guevara and the Man from Maybury Hill' starring John Hurt. with an introduction by Katrina Shine who produced 'Petrol County Blues' and ' Padraig agus Nadia'. We have a spectacular fireworks display at the quay on the last night, this has become so popular that boats come from all over Lough Derg, the harbour is normally full of cruisers. What a sight!The festival will happen next year on the last week in August, put the date in your diary, you will not be disappointed.
It is a very child friendly festival, these are some of the workshops run for kids,
